Tom Cruise is dealing with a new – and very unexpected – reality. Based in London since mid-August, where he is deep in pre-production for the sci-fi action film All You Need Is Kill, the 50-year-old actor has been unable to see his 6-year-old daughter for nearly two months.
With Suri now based full time in New York City, where Holmes, who has primary custody, enrolled her in Manhattan's private Avenues school. Several sources say that a planned visit to London in mid-September was called off.
People Magazine say Mom and daughter are adjusting to their new routine – Whether it's hitting a Brooklyn flea market, finding the perfect spot in the neighborhood for a cupcake or setting up play dates with kids from Suri's new school, they seem right at home in the city.
"In school, Katie is so nice and talks to the parents like everyone else,"says a source at Avenues, the private school where Suri started first grade three weeks ago.
"She's making sure Suri is doing well and Suri has had a few playdates with new friends from school."But there's also been plenty of mommy and me time for the pair, who have even been hitting the city's outer boroughs.
